The BSO's dual-market gala celebrations are the organizations largest fundraising events of the season. I work with the BSO Advancement Team and its Gift Officers to deliver one of the city's largest and most exclusive parties! This year, the Gala Committee is being co-chaired by Baltimore City First Lady Hana Pugh Scott and BSO Gala Sponsors include Whiting-Turner, PNC, BGE, and the region's most generous and connected patrons.

The BSO's Star-Spangled 250 at Oregon Ridge Park is a two-night Independence Day celebration featuring the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, patriotic performances, and fireworks before thousands of Baltimore County residents. I oversee all guest-facing operations, including coordinating local wine and beer vendors, regional food trucks, entry and crowd flow, and on-site hospitality to deliver a cohesive, high-quality outdoor event experience from arrival to firework finale.

The League of American Orchestras National Conference brings together orchestra leaders, executives, and board members from across the country for several days of industry programming. I managed all Baltimore hospitality operations: recruiting and filling 130 volunteer shifts, coordinating a 1,000-person post-concert party, and hosting targeted executive experiences including a champagne toast for CEOs and a formal dinner for board members. Together with BSO SVP & Chief Revenue Strategy Officer, we made sure Baltimore's presence reflected the BSO's organizational excellence.

Born from a desire to offer a lifestyle brand, Symphony at Six is an early-evening concert experience that delivers an enhanced symphony experience. Ticket holders are invited to come early for bites from local restaurateurs, complimentary drinks, and a post-concert Q&A with BSO Music Director Jonathon Heyward. The pilot experience saw an increased drop count of 30.3% above average.

Drama Learning Center and Manor Hill Brewery team up each spring for the Charmed Farm Festival in Ellicott City, MD — a free, family-friendly day transforming the working farm into a storybook world of fairies, unicorns, and make-believe. Kids enjoy DLC performances, character meet-and-greets, and crafts, while parents sip farm-brewed beer amid goats, chickens, and Manor Hill's scenic hop fields. I was part of the team that concieved of the event and was responsible for the full event execution from tickets going on sale to the final load-out.

UMD's Robert H. Smith School of Business Office of Experiential Learning immerses students in real-world consulting through direct small business partnerships. As a business mentor, I prepared for meetings, gathered materials, and answered detailed questions about my operations and customers. I guided students who were new to real-world business work, helping them understand context they couldn't get from a classroom. My guidance shaped their research and kept the project grounded, and after three cohorts worth of ongoing research and recommendations, they were able to deliver an end-to-end UX strategy.

A well-designed website is often a brand's first impression, shaping trust, credibility, and perceived professionalism within seconds. Thoughtful layout, typography, and color reinforce brand identity, while intuitive navigation and fast load times keep visitors engaged rather than bouncing away. Ultimately, strong design converts casual browsers into loyal customers, directly impacting sales, reputation, and long-term brand recognition. I identified the need and directed the website refresh, one that the business utilizes to this day.

The BSO Business Partners program makes world-class orchestral sponsorship accessible to small businesses, with entry points starting at just $750. Companies gain brand visibility, client entertainment, and employee perks—concert passes, private receptions, and networking—without enterprise-level investment, connecting local businesses to 275,000+ Maryland patrons and civic leaders. The program was developed out of a desire to feed more small businesses into the BSO sponsor pipeline.

In 2021, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra celebrated Marin Alsop's remarkable 14-year tenure as the first woman to lead a major American orchestra with a season-long tribute called the Marin Festival, honoring her pioneering legacy. The celebration culminated in several events and currated experiences, including state-wide viewing parties and celebration sites, for which I was responsible.
The Star-Spangled Banner Flag House | June 14, 2012
In June 2012, Baltimore launched Star-Spangled 200 with Sailabration, a maritime festival marking the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the national anthem. The event featured 45 vessels from a dozen nations and an airshow by the Blue Angels, drawing over 1.5 million visitors to the Inner Harbor for this patriotic, multi-year commemoration. As Deputy Director of one of the city's War of 1812 historic sites, I was involved in both the museum's participation in the event at large and the Flag House's signature event, the encorporation of threads from the original Star-Spangled Banner flag into the National 9-11 Memorial Flag.
